Work PhotoPhilip Hicks: Philip David Hick was born in St. Louis, Missouri. He spent most of his time shut in his room playing computer games and console games. Starting with an Atari and an Apple 2e, his game life started at a very young age. He attended several colleges wanting to be a programmer, but later finished into networking and security. Computers are still his favorite for gaming on, but really enjoy the online community that Xbox Live has created.

He has been married since 2003 to his wife, Becky, who does not always like his gaming hobbies but puts up with it. They have a lovely daughter named Lyllian, and a son on the way. They also have a dog named Archer who is the coolest dog ever.

Phil has a wide range of gaming experience, and interests, starting with Tron from the Atari, to Gears of War on the 360. He loves to watch the games progress from concept to completion. However he does not like to play demo, he believes that the companies usually just put you in the level where the main mechanic is used the most and polish it up.

scottScott:Born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, Scott’s childhood consisted of romping through the woods, riding his mountain bike and begging his dad to bring home whatever computer hardware and software, especially games, that he could find. His youthful devotions set the stage for high school and beyond, though happily he did manage to find time for role-playing with friends, theater, cello and his girlfriend Faith.

College passed entirely too quickly for Scott, this may have something to do with the fact that he and Faith blissfully occupied a tent in a state park for their entire freshman year. They would regretfully leave for important lectures, tests or video game nights, but that was about it. Scott eventually came to the realization that however much he loved the outdoors a degree in forestry was not right for him so he headed back to St. Louis where he earned a degree in Architectural Technology. Following the birth of their first son in 2001 he and Faith were married in Forest Park, moved out of Scott’s mom’s basement and began their roller coaster of a new life together.

These days Scott’s time is divided between his wife, their four sons, managing a drafting department and gaming of the board, miniature, video and role-playing varieties. With everything on his plate he often wishes that he had more time for video games but as of now he remains hesitant to let it take a more prominent place in his life. Even so, Scott almost always manages to get his hands on the latest games that catch his fancy, whether they be for the PC, the Xbox360, the PS3 or the Wii.
